Globalstar Creates a Single Source of Truth with M-Files

Globalstar made the decision to update their existing M-Files software to serve as their Enterprise Content Management repository. To ensure that Globalstar had a successful M-Files rollout, TEAM IM was recommended by M-Files as a partner.

M-Files recommended TEAM IM because of our teams’ extensive experience with M-Files, including experience migrating and organizing data into a single, easily searchable source of truth.

And with the Enhanced Support package, Globalstar is able to utilize consulting services for additional knowledge transfer and training as they continue to rollout their improved M-Files platform.

TEAM IM began the collaboration with Globalstar by determining both the existing M-Files vault structure and an understanding of the requirements necessary to achieve Globalstar’s desired functionality.

Once those factors had been determined, the real work could begin. TEAM IM helped migrate content from existing sources such as SharePoint into M-Files, made a plan to configure the new structure of the M-Files vault, and ensured production rollout would be satisfactorily tested and supported.

TEAM IM also worked with Globalstar to optimize their M-Files configuration to best suit the way their processes and workflows operate. This included simplifying the search functionality.

Globalstar chose engineering as the first area of their organization to experience their M-Files rollout with additional areas such as Gateway Operations, Ground Systems, PMO and Marketing to follow.
