Based in Overland Park, Kansas, National Crop Insurance Services (NCIS) provides a distinctive collection of services to the crop insurance industry. NCIS lends actuarial and analytical support to the growth of crop loss adjustment standards, and also conducts industry-wide training for company staff and industry loss adjusters. Its commitment to education and support makes it the leader in giving the industry a grassroots, reliable infrastructure.
 

Project Details

When National Crop Insurance Services (NCIS) set out to modernize its digital presence, they knew it would take more than just a website refresh, it required a secure, scalable portal built for their diverse membership base.

TEAM IM partnered with NCIS to completely reimagine their website experience. The new portal was designed with multiple membership tiers in mind, each requiring tailored access to search, view, and download critical content. Secure self-service access wasn’t optional, it was essential. Member companies needed a protected, reliable way to access the information that powers their operations.

However, NCIS faced a significant challenge: they lacked a secure and centralized system to store and manage organization-related records. Important assets, including Microsoft Office documents, videos, and other key files, needed to be accessible while remaining fully protected. That’s where TEAM IM stepped in.

In 2022, the newly redesigned NCIS Portal Website launched successfully, delivering secure online access and a dramatically improved user experience. Behind the scenes, TEAM IM implemented a powerful three-way integration between the NCIS Portal (managed via Sitefinity), M-Files, and Identity Manager for streamlined identity management. The result: seamless authentication, secure content control, and centralized document governance.

Today, the partnership continues. Through an Enhanced Support Agreement, TEAM IM provides ongoing M-Files licensing, configuration expertise, and integration support, ensuring the portal evolves alongside NCIS’s needs and remains secure, efficient, and future-ready.
