Project Details

Previous to contracting with TEAM IM, Oil-Dri did not utilize an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system, instead relying on a patchwork of shared drives, legacy systems, and some Microsoft 365 (via Office) collaboration and transitory content storage. Oil-Dri felt that stronger adoption of M365 could improve their content lifecycle, process consolidation, governance, and business intelligence, but they desired guidance to establish a plan and begin implementation to expand and optimize their utilization of the platform. Thanks to an earlier RFP, Oil-Dri and TEAM IM had developed a positive relationship and both organizations were excited to work together.

TEAM IM began with an advisory phase consisting of a series of workshops to observe and interrogate Oil-Dri’s content and content operations. From these workshops an advisory asset was generated by the SMEs which detailed the findings and TEAM IM’s guidance for next steps. This operation and the output provided Oil-Dri's business and departmental leaders with additional confidence in the future project processes.

As a second phase, TEAM IM worked with a pilot program department to understand their needs and requirements. The SMEs meshed this information with M365 and Power Automate configurations to develop a Solution Design Document which detailed the operations and processes to be implemented. This was reviewed and evaluated with Oil-Dri's resources for accuracy and confidence.

Next TEAM IM SMEs began implementation operations in partnership with Oil-Dri's IT resources. This served the dual mission of progressing the business goals while also improving internal IT capabilities with M365. SMEs also worked with Oil-Dri to construct a strategy for content migration, an operation which would progress later as an Oil-Dri internal project with assistance as needed from TEAM IM.

Partnering with TEAM IM to provide strategic guidance and initial M365 implementation enables Oil-Dri to move forward with confidence that the solution works for them and meets their requirements. We couldn’t be prouder to assist our clients as they embark on these journeys.
