Customer Background

They had a vision. Wanting to boost the company’s sales quote generation process by streamlining and modernizing it.

During this time, the sales team was generating quotes through homebrewed Excel spreadsheet templates. While this process allowed for great flexibility, it was soon realized that the method lacked efficiency, collaboration, and consistent workflows.

The company was using JourneyApps at the time but needed additional help to make their vision of a new and improved sales quote generation process become a reality.


Improving The Sales Process

This company called the experts at TEAM IM for help, knowing that they had been a valuable development partner to JourneyApps. They had heard of TEAM IM’s reputation as a trusted partner and already knew the celebrated tech company was a strong anchor for JourneyApps’ customer solutions department. Thus, through JourneyApps’ partnership with the company, TEAM IM was eagerly brought into the mix.

When informed about the opportunity to develop an ECVI Sales Quoting Tool, TEAM IM was thrilled to assist and was enthusiastic about the impact the quoting tool would make.

What happened when TEAM IM stepped in

At the start of their collaboration, TEAM IM wanted to learn about the current sales process and edge cases the company had. So, once they painted a clear picture of their process to TEAM IM, they began working together on the features and functions that would be implemented into the JourneyApps-based tool.

They envisioned a Sales Quoting tool to support the creation, distribution, management, and approval of Customer Sales Quotes for the company's EVCI division. With TEAM IM’s help in the developmental stages, they were confident that the tool would boost the efficiency of the sales process by centralizing product and pricing management.

Why the companies worked so well together

TEAM IM consistently delivered development in usable, weekly sprints, and in turn, enabled the company to give feedback in real time. This allowed TEAM IM to make tweaks while development was in process, so they could productively shorten the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) period.

Toward the later stages of development, TEAM IM’s out-of-the-box thinking led to the addition of features and functions that the company ultimately found instrumental to the success of the JourneyApps-based tool.

Value of the JourneyApps-based Sales Quoting tool

The Sales Quoting tool provides a framework for common sales process patterns and occasional outliers. It also supports a closer examination for any unusual quotes that pop up.

Non-partners of the company are now able to create quotes and develop basic workflows for approvals– which has stretched the boundaries of a usable application environment. As a result, we’ve seen a compelling, swift turnaround of client requests and requirements.

What to expect moving forward

TEAM IM is looking forward to providing Enhanced Support as they continue their thriving partnership. TEAM IM will lend their support with ongoing changes throughout the evolution of the Sales Quoting tool, as the company is eager to continue development into a second phase. Part two of development will promote the user experience by adding a quote creation wizard and building supplementary data import capabilities.
