TEAM IM is pleased to announce the release of AutoRecords 25.11, now available for download from the M-Files Catalog. This release introduces significant enhancements and new functionality designed to improve performance, usability, and scalability for records management environments.

Key Enhancements in AutoRecords 25.11

Disposition Log Improvements

The Disposition Log has been redesigned for greater flexibility and usability. Previously delivered as a single text file, it is now split into two distinct objects:

• Disposition Data
  A JSON file containing detailed disposition activity data. This format enables easy integration with applications such as Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.

• Formatted Disposition Log
  An HTML-based report that organizes disposition information by retention category for quick review. This file can also be opened in Excel while retaining its formatting, making it ideal for audits or further customization.

Task Queue Optimization

AutoRecords now leverages M-Files task queues for certain edge-case processing scenarios. These optimizations significantly improve performance for large vaults, particularly when handling high volumes of object changes or configurations using Indirect Trigger processing.

Introducing Policy Groups

The 25.11 release introduces Policy Groups, a new model for managing records with two primary use cases:

1. Traditional File Approval-Based Disposition
   For organizations requiring formal approval of pending dispositions listed and saved in a file, Policy Groups generate files listing all objects associated with a policy. Records Managers can review retention details and approve dispositions directly within these files. Approvals can be manual or automated.
   
   
2. High-Volume Environments
   For vaults containing millions of documents, Policy Groups eliminate the need for M-Files to update every qualifying object during initial runs. This dramatically reduces processing time and provides a clear, consolidated view of impacted content. Automatic approval is recommended for these extremely large vault scenarios to maximize efficiency.

AI-Optimized Documentation

As part of this release, TEAM IM has enhanced AutoRecords documentation to support AI-driven assistance. By structuring documentation for optimal AI interpretation, clients can use their preferred AI tools to obtain accurate, context-rich answers.
