How TEAM IM Advocated for Our Customer Through Adversity

TEAM IM recently completed a Square Nine to Dropbox migration for our regional workers union customer by migrating over 730,000 documents from Square 9 and launching a fully digital, QR-code-accessible membership application integrated with AS400 and eSignature technology. The end result allowed our customer to make key workflows faster, easier, and entirely electronic. This migration was critical for our customer due to their SQ9 license expiring and the company needing a place to store their files, including membership applications and essential documents.

Our customer is a chapter of an international workers union based out of New Jersey. They have more than 22,000 members working in an area stretching from New Jersey to New York. Processing membership applications and grievance forms from union members are the primary forms that necessitated their desire to upgrade their document management systems.

The migration included creating a migration script to bring over all documents and their associated metadata from SQ9 to Dropbox as well as creating Hot Folders for critical documentation. This was done within the timeline to ensure the team could seamlessly migrate from SQ9 to Dropbox and within the budget.

When a key component of the original solution was suddenly deprecated, TEAM IM took immediate action. We engaged directly with the technology partner on our customer's behalf, negotiating to protect their investment and ensure a favorable financial outcome. At the same time, we mobilized our development team to create a new, custom-built webform that not only replaced, but enhanced the original document handling and searchability functionality all without impacting their budget.

This dual-track approach exemplifies TEAM IM’s unwavering commitment to the customer's goals and to maintaining a stable, trusted partnership. By combining technical expertise with strategic advocacy, we delivered a resilient, future-ready solution that continues to improve how the union engages with its 22,000 members, proving that the right partner can make all the difference.

This project is a clear example of how thoughtful innovation and collaborative problem-solving can drive meaningful digital change - even in the face of unexpected challenges.
