Preparing for Change: TEAM IM's Blueprint for Project Success

At TEAM IM, we view project preparation as much more than a pre-kickoff activity, it is the foundation for a successful implementation. Preparing for a project is a collaborative readiness effort that begins well before kickoff and focuses on aligning people, processes, requirements, and expectations. Our experience has shown that investing time upfront to establish a strong project foundation through planning, discovery, and organizational readiness leads to stronger project outcomes and a smoother implementation experience for everyone involved.

Rather than immediately moving into configuration or development activities, we work closely with our customers to establish a shared understanding of business objectives, operational processes, technical requirements, and long-term goals. Early project preparation activities help identify key stakeholders, define roles and responsibilities, document requirements, evaluate current state processes, and establish clear measures of success. This collaborative approach creates a roadmap that guides decision making throughout the project lifecycle and reduces uncertainty as the project progresses.

TEAM IM also places a strong emphasis on governance and communication. Through structured discovery workshops, requirements sessions, project planning activities, and regular status reporting, we create opportunities for meaningful collaboration and informed decision-making. Ensuring the right people are engaged in the right conversations helps maintain alignment, document important decisions, and keep project momentum moving forward.

Another important component of our approach is organizational readiness. Successful implementations depend not only on technology, but also on the people who will ultimately use and support the solution. We encourage customers to identify executive sponsors, project champions, technical contacts, and subject matter experts early in the process. We also work with customers to begin planning communications, training, and adoption activities well before go-live so end users are informed, prepared, and supported throughout the transition.

The standards we bring to project preparation have been shaped by years of delivery experience and a commitment to helping customers achieve lasting success. By focusing on planning, stakeholder engagement, communication, and change readiness from the outset, we help reduce project risk, improve solution quality, and support long-term adoption.

This proactive approach helps create a smoother implementation experience and positions customers for long term success after go-live. It is an approach we believe in because we have seen the impact it has on successful project outcomes and strong customer partnerships for years following the implementation!
